The NewCem® Plus Advantage in Concrete
When Portland or Portland limestone cement is mixed with water, most of the cement forms an insoluble gel known as calcium-silicate-hydrate (C-S-H) as well as calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2). When NewCem® Plus is introduced into concrete, it reacts with the Ca(OH)2 to form additional C-S-H gel.
The power of NewCem® Plus enhances various concrete properties, including:
- Workability and consolidation
- Flexural and compressive strengths
- Reduced permeability
