LafargeHolcim Awards: Canadian professionals encouraged to share exemplary construction projects, visionary design concepts

 

ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - December 19, 2019

The LafargeHolcim Awards seeks leading projects of Canadian professionals as well as bold ideas from the Next Generation that combine sustainable construction solutions with architectural excellence. Experts from around the world are encouraged to submit their ideas to trigger foundational change in how we build the world around us, and motivate peers on a world stage. 

The 6th cycle of the international competition is open for entries until February 25, 2020. The Awards offers a total of USD 2 million in prize money and foregrounds projects and concepts from architecture, engineering, urban planning, materials and construction technology, and related fields.

 

 

The LafargeHolcim Foundation for Sustainable Construction was created in 2003 to raise awareness of the important role that architecture, engineering, urban planning and the building industry have in achieving a more sustainable future. Through the non-commercial promotion and development of sustainable construction at national, regional, and global levels, the Foundation encourages sustainable responses to the technological, environmental, socioeconomic, and cultural issues affecting building and construction.
